Our Mission
-
We believe that great discoveries and growth come from having the space to take risks and learn from our peers. We believe that everyone, even the most inexperienced of us, have an important story to tell and valuable perspective to give. We will strive to work with emerging artists and give them the artistic home they need to propel themselves onward.
-
We believe theatre is a one-of-a-kind art form that everyone should be able to experience, regardless of their economic status. We believe that audiences are a living and necessary entity in theatre and need to be built of several different types of people. We will strive to create as many free theatre experiences as possible, and offer pay-what-you-can tickets for every non-free event.
-
Finally, we believe in making space for art that is unconventional. We believe that commercialized theatre has created rigid rules about what theatre can look like, who it's for, and what stories can be told. We will strive to push those boundaries, to challenge our artists, designers, and audiences. We will bring shows from a wide range of perspectives and seek out new works from local playwrights who share our vision. We will strive to constantly broaden our horizons and push ourselves artistically and technically, all within the small budget of an independent theatre company.
